MTA Metro-North and LIRR Encourage Customers to Purchase their Tickets Through MTA eTix or TVMs
During this unprecedented time of COVID19, all of Metro-North and Long Island Rail Road ticket offices have been closed until further notice. To enhance the safety of our customers and employees, customers are urged to use contactless methods of purchasing their rail tickets. The following methods are easy to use, quick and clean:

- Purchase your ticket through MTA eTix. Just download our free mobile ticketing apphttp://www.mta.info/mta-eTix-promo. It's the quick and easy way to purchase your ticket from your smartphone.

- Purchase your ticket from a Ticket Vending Machine, where you can use cash, credit, debit or contactless credit card to complete your purchase. Simply go to a ticket vending machine at your nearest station to access a machine.

Customers with a Transit Benefit payment option can purchase tickets through MTA eTix. Existing Mail&Ride customers can also have their tickets delivered through MTA eTix using a Transit Benefit payment option.
