LIRRNew Weekday Schedules Take Effect MondayReminder: Starting Monday, January 25, new LIRR schedules will take effect that include changes to AM & PM rush hour service on most branches. The new schedules are now available thru the LIRR TrainTime app and are posted on our web site at http://lirr42.mta.info/ Non-rush hour service will see minimal changes, but customers who travel during non-rush hour times should check our TrainTime app or website for revised departure times or changes to connecting trains. Off-peak fares remain in effect on all trains, even during traditional peak hours. These new schedules will allow us to operate more efficiently while supporting critical infrastructure work, and meet reduced ridership levels due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, as current ridership levels are less than 30% of pre-pandemic levels. Thank you for riding with us, and remember to please wear your masks at all times on board trains and at stations.
